Family Vacation

This week I have been at Seacrest Beach (next to Rosemary Beach, east of Seaside) with my family, my parents, both of my sisters and their families, one of my sister's in-laws, some teenage friends and two cousins. What a week we have had! To some people, this may not sound like a good time, but I have been thinking how great it is that we all like to be around each other. I even heard one of my niece's friends comment to her "how cool it is that your family likes to hang together". We are blessed!

The big topic on everyone's mind this week has been the oil. It is creeping its way towards Destin, which means this beach will be hit soon. We are so thankful that God allowed us to have our vacation "oil-free", but so sad for those coming next week or later in the summer.

Tonight we are heading out for the big family picture! Seventeen of us. Our family is finally (hopefully) complete until the grandchildren start to marry. With one already 20 years old, it may be sooner than we think.
